The refrigerator has a larger freezer compartment than our old one, which is nice, but on the downside this takes up more space in the refrigerator space. I wish there were more choices for where to put the shelves. Our icemaker which was ordered with the refrigerator is only producing 35-49 ice cubes in a 24 hour period. This is not okay and we are currently trying to resolve this problem with service.
While still early in our ownership, this fridge/freezer combo has worked so well for us. With dual temperature controls and a product designed for use in a garage, we are very pleased with it thus far and have nothing bad to say.
I love the larger freezer on top. What I don’t like is the last shelf on the door. You can only put small items in it or turn the salad bottles to the side. But overall it’s a nice looking refrigerator that seems to be working the way it should.
We have had the unit for only a few weeks and am very pleased. Appears to be working well in our garage, which is averaging 95 degrees during the day in Green Valley/Tucson AZ. GE seemed to be only only major appliance manufacturer which offered a garage ready unit. Even after calling GE, am unable to find out what the starting and running amperage draws are. The user manual was basically useless when it comes to the units specifications. Appreciate the sliding bin which can be moved from side to side within the refrigerator.
