The freezer handle is a potential problem. When egressing from lower section it is easy to hit your head on freezer door handle. This handle should be rounded to prevent head injuring since it has corners.
This is why I did not provide a good rating even though I am a GE stockholder.
We used our new refrigerator for about a month when our area was destroyed by Hurricane Laura. We have not had electricity for the last month. Looking forward to getting our power back on so that we will be able to use our new refrigerator again
My new refrigerator is ok. What I have a problem with is the fact that they just don't make them like they used to. The ice maker only makes about half the ice, but that is apparently how they work now. Otherwise so far it works good.
Either the freezer is at the correct 0 degrees and refrigerator is at the wrong 32-24 OR refrigerator is at correct 37-40 degrees and the freezer at the wrong 10-15 when the two settings are adjusted to try to balance. Can’t get both temperatures at the correct temperatures at any setting. Product is being swapped out so hopefully this is just a rare dud.
So far so good, but have only had it a few days. First time we have actually bought a "Garage Ready" Refrigerator for the garage. Hoping it lives up to it's word on compressor life and cooling in varying temperatures. Unit looks nice and large freezer space.
