We were tired of dealing with our beautiful but undependable 5 year old Samsung 25.5 cu ft french door refrigerator. After researching, we chose a new GE GTS19KSNRSS 19.2 cu ft traditional top freezer fridge in Aug 2020 primarily because it had the fewest problems of any refrigerator we could find and it's made in the USA. Hopefully our new GE refrigerator will last for many years.
Had it a few weeks now and was concerned that the “recommended” settings were not keeping either the refrigerator or freezer cold enough. So I had to go out and buy thermometers. Sure enough neither was cold enough. I have the fridge set to about 4.5 and it’s in the safe range. Freezer is set at 5 and still apparently not cold enough. Have no idea what to do, but am very disappointed. I was encouraged to buy this “garage ready” item and so far am not impressed and definite feel like I wasted my money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
