Hate almost everything about this fridge

I waited over 9 months for this fridge, and what a disappointment. I've only had it one day, it is "working," so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.
This fridge is so loud when it's running. I had a 23 year old fridge prior to this, and it was quieter than this brand new one. I don't understand why this thing is so loud. It's not rattling or anything unnatural, but it is just plain loud. You will notice it.
It is so chintzy. There is a plastic grate on the back that doesn't lay flat. It's all wibbly and came straight from the factory with a screw missing! Talk about shoddy workmanship.
The fridge is incredibly light (chitzy!); even when filled it's light enough to move around when the doors are opened and closed. The feet actually scratched my floor when the installation crew pushed the fridge back into position, and they continue to scratch my floor when the fridge jostles back and forth because it is so light.
There is no kick plate over the front of it on the bottom (chintzy!), so you can see the hardware and leveling feet... It seems like there should be a cosmetic grate there to hide that ugly stuff and keep objects from getting under the fridge where the unit draws air for cooling itself. I have furry animals, and I guarantee that area will soon be clogged with fur and dust which will effect the performance of the fridge.
The handles do not line up (need I say chintzy?!). I tried my hardest to minutely adjust them while hold them down into position and tightening the screws to no avail. The factory holes are just not aligned perfectly and the handles are not ever going to match up.
The shelves in the fridge can only be adjusted to set positions. This is very inconvenient as it limits the ways in which a person can organize their fridge. When the top shelf is in the most obvious location (the top adjustment position), it's hard to see anything on the back of that shelf, and normal large sized containers of yogurt or sour cream barely fit. Everything on the top shelf obscures the light from lower shelves when the shelf is in the top position.
The light is very dim, and has to be replaced by a "certified pro," according to customer service. I called to see if there was any other color lightbulb available for this thing, and there is not. The light is BLUE, like daylight color, which makes everything look extra cold and dead. I was told by customer service that the reason there is no light bulb available on their parts page is because only a certified technician can order the part, so when your warranty has lapsed, you're going to have to fork out for that or go without illumination.
The bottom row on the door is so hard to see and reach, yet it's really the only available space I have for slim small condiments like salad dressing. They are really hard to remove as they almost don't even have enough clearance! The deepest shelf on the door should be on the bottom so it doesn't obscure the smaller shelf. I think this is just poor design.
The only thing I like about this fridge is the freezer. It is a tiny bit larger than my old one (also a top freezer style). The storage on the freezer door is also in a fixed position, like in the fridge area, but the shelves are the same depth and at eye level so they are easily accessed, and can accommodate things nicely.

Hi there, Thanks for the insightful and detailed feedback about your refrigerator. It's really appreciated and helps us with improving design and quality in future products. We're pleased to hear you like the freezer. Due to the size of the doors and the strength of the door gaskets, it is possible that it may roll or move when one of the doors is opened. A piece of wood, a small wood wedge, or plastic furniture coaster with felt on the bottom may be placed under the wheels.
Here is a link for service, if needed for the handle issue: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Your feedback is really appreciated and will be passed along to our refrigerator design team for future consideration. We’re wishing you the very best! - Sharon@GEA
Although the refrigerator keeps items cold and the freezer keeps them frozen, this is the noisiest refrigerator. It is very aggravating. It runs practically all day and I find myself waking up at night thinking water is running. A tech came out and told me that it is working as it should. The compressor must be made with the cheapest parts. I was just about to call for someone else to come out and saw the email asking for a review.

I purchased this to replace a refrigerator that was about 12 years old. I love that the shelving can be configured different ways. It is super spacious.
The fridge takes too long, in my opinion, to cool down and doesn't seem to get as cold as the old one. But the old one also frozen everything, no matter wear it was in the fridge.
