Hi there - We're glad to know that your refrigerator is working well, but we do apologize that your it is operating loudly. This must be discouraging and we can understand your disappointment.
Newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators, as modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. We encourage you to check out page 19 of the owner's manual for a list and description of normal operating sounds for this refrigerator (it'll help you rule out any potential issues): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000478-2.pdf. For example, you may hear the fans "whir" when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food has just been added - the fans help maintain the correct temperatures.
If you have questions or concerns moving forward, please connect with us and we'll be more than happy to assist you. All the best, Kelsey@GEA
This refrigerator has great storage as well as in the door. The freezer is roomy even with the ice maker. Originally we were replacing appliances with stainless steel as they bit the dust. We found out very quickly that our handicapped son’s fingerprints showing were an issue so…. When we went to replace the refrigerator I saw this flat grey/taupe color I hoped this would work. The fridge was hard to find in the size that fits our kitchen but finally got it.
way to loud poor quality interior freezer not cold enough
