Absolutely huge missing feature

I purchased this fridge not knowing it did not have a light in the freezer. I did not even think to ask about it because...well how can you not have a light in the freezer? How are you going to see what is in there? UNBELIEVABLE!! Tried to have one installed through the dealer but was told it was not doable. I feel like I was taken advantage of here and have no solution available. If you don't have a problem using a flashlight to see into your freezer then go ahead and buy this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable performer, works well in garage

This fridge does well for us. It’s still fairly new, but it has performed as expected, and the build quality seems very good.

Good Garage Refrigerator

I have had this very attractive black GE garage-ready fridge in my garage for about 3 months and it is working just fine so far. The only negative for this fridge is that it does not have a light in the freezer. Everything else about it has been fine since purchase.

Garage refrigerator

Was happy to find a new refrigerator/ freezer that will work in my garage year round. Returned a different brand I had bought the month before, then found out due to new information, it would only work in an environment of 60 plus degrees. I wanted a garage unit. My local salesman had to do some looking to find this one.

I really like my new GE fridge. The shelves are solid, not wire, and I can clearly see all my food, both on the shelves and in the drawers. I would have like a larger, longer deli drawer as I had to adjust how I stored my meat and cheese. Its so quiet I don't notice when it turns on to cool which is great as my kitchen is very near my living room. I like all the door storage but am adjusting to what to keep there as I'm not used to that depth in a door.
