Great refrigerator so far

This model fits exactly in the location of our previous refrigerator, plus it's Energy Star compliant, and designed for the garage...seems perfect for what we need! It's been running for the past week without any issues, although we did have to adjust the cooling of the refrigerator a bit (freezer was fine). This is also our second version: the first delivery had a bent hinge, so the door wouldn't stay closed.
It is good size fridge and freezer. Very quite. Bought this one because it was classified as a "Garage" fridge and it will be in our garage as the extra food storage fridge. It does appear the seal might be not solid as we started to smell the food outside the fridge. Contacting customer service for information.
We had this refrigerator for 2 months when the temperature control stopped working. Frig temperatures ranged from 34 degrees to 45 degrees - even on the coldest setting. When we called GE for service, since it was on warranty, they said they had no one available in our area. Would not recommend this product, or any GE frig, since there's no guarantee they can service it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
This is not something we enjoy hearing about. We're awfully sorry to hear that the temperature control is not working and that you have had difficulty with getting service. Hold tight for an agent is going to email you to offer some assistance. Make sure to watch for it. Mike@GEA
The Slate finish and black cabinet of this fridge looks great. The glass shelving through the entire unit even in the freezer are nice. The clear bins are great for seeing everything. The led Lighting is good and the Freezer is cavernous...so much room in a 19 cubic foot unit.
The NEGATIVE is that the freezer is so large you have to bend extra to grab things out of the fridge. I am six feet and I cannot see what is on the top shelf. The door hold so many things but my unit arrived and the door sagged so much I was unable to close it. This was a new unit. I decided to return it and get a bottom freezer fridge. The stove I got to match also was sent without a glow bar for the bottom oven so there are some manufacturing issues to be aware of. GE appliance repair is awesome and they did fix the issue with the stove in a few weeks.
