Unacceptable Product

We bought this for Gargae in IL bought it in August was delivered in September of 2022. Since day one the freezer didn't work. I had my 5th service appointment today. The tech informed me he thinks it's the compressor. But will have to wait until it gets warmer to install. I was also told in colder weather it will not work, that's bull. 1. It was warm from September thru November here in IL freezer didn't work 2. I had a older GE unit in our Grage which was not garage ready worked for 6 years and it kept things frozen. Got a rid of it because it just stopped working. 3. I havve a GE up right freezer in my garage for about 6 years it works just fine.
Also one of the 3 techs out of 5 visits replaced the mother board and fan. Still doesn't work. Had another tech tell us we need to adjust settings which we all ready did still doesn't work. I either want my money back or a replacement not waiting until it gets warm to replace compressor. I didn't buy this so I can have a empty freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't Work

Delivered 24 hours ago. Freezer staying around 20 to 25 even though on coldest setting per instructions. Fridge in the 40s. Temp knob in freezer goes continuously from 1 to 5, but Fridge more clicks in place, so suspect something is wrong there. Our garage has been 48 degrees since this was delivered, and it is rated for 38. BTW, if anyone else has this and thinks, "I am crazy? Maybe 20 to 25 degrees is fine. It is less than 32." The FDA recommends 0 or below for food safety. I could probably let it slide if it were within 5 degrees of that, but 20 degrees above recommended safety level is concerning. So disappointing to take half a day off work to get something delivered to know that I now have to go through the hassle of more missed work to get it fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello - Thank you for taking a moment of time to share your experience. This is definitely a frustrating experience and we're so sorry to hear about your refrigerator having issues with the temperature. We know that is the last thing anyone who gets a new refrigerator wants to deal with.
We know with new installations it can take that 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. Also, if the refrigerator and freezer are empty, this will also effect the temperature, as cold items actually help with keeping everything cool, an empty refrigerator works harder to get those results.

We have always trusted GE appliances to be very dependable and affordable prices. My last GE refrigerator lasted 25 yrs and was still running when I gave it to my daughter.
