Beware that doors don’t seal shut …shut the refrigerator and the freezer door bounces open. Have lost much food due to this happening … must double check each time you open and shut either door .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello - Thanks for taking the time to write a review. While we're glad you love this refrigerator overall, we're sorry to hear you lost food due to the freezer door opening as you shut the refrigerator door. We understand how frustrating that would be, and we would love to help you.
It is not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. Air channels connect the refrigerator and freezer sections to allow air to pass between them. Slamming or vigorously pushing a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. Please refer to the following troubleshooting guide to fix this issue: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16979&_ga.
We're confident you will enjoy your unit for many years. We value your feedback and will share your review with our design team for any necessary improvements. Have a great day! -Shayla@GEA
For a smaller refrigerator to replace my old one, this one is great. Like the lighting and all of the door shelves..........no wasted space! I did order an extra shelf for the freezer as I do like to keep my ice cube trays somewhat protected from other freezer items. Plenty of room for our small family.
