why no light in the freezer?

Problem with "garage ready" feature

We've had this refrigerator for less than two weeks now. The freezer temperature does not go below 10 degrees. When a GE serviceman came his first words were.."these are not made for this climate" as he claimed to get 5 calls a week about this very issue. We're in central NJ. The temperature the past two weeks has averaged over 40 degrees outside and probably 10 degrees more than that in the garage..
He also stated that his success rate of getting this refrigerator to work properly is less than 50%. Not good.
We had the serviceman order parts to try and fix the problem. We'll see what happens, but so far we're not pleased at all and the serviceman is not optimistic.

Great second refrigerator

This garage refrigerator is just what I was looking for. Great interior design so I can keep food in there (not just beer) lol too. Freezer and refrigerator have great lighting so it’s easy to find what I’m looking for. Refrigerator is also very quiet not that noise was a concern but just an added bonus.
