Nice and roomy, and runs soooo quietly

Just received our new fridge. Runs very quiet, so quietly that I checked to make sure it was running. Nice and roomy,
good light inside, baskets are large and door baskets are study for handling bottles, etc. Got this fridge as we needed a second one to store extra freezer space. Always had a GE in the past and was sorry I hadn't purchased one as the main refrigerator when we moved into this house. Forgot to mention what a good size the freezer is. So far, just wonderful.
Would have given you a five star, but must experience using it for some time before I judge it completely.

Ice maker issues

Our ice maker is actually working too well. As the bin fills the cubes are constantly falling down from the left rear corner of the white ice cube bin onto the bottom area below. If you do not use enough cubes daily the bin will continue to overflow to the right side of the bin onto the top glass shelf. This is unacceptable. If we were to leave for an extended period of time our freezing compartment would be filled with cubes. This is an add-on ice maker, did someone install the wrong one for our fridge???
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The compatible icemaker for this model will be IM4D. We recommend checking to make sure that the feeler arm is in the correct position, this is the silver bar that sits above the bucket. When more ice is filled, the arm moves up and then will stop production once it reaches a certain spot.

We just received our 19.2 cf refrigerator in black for our garage today. There were no problems with any cracks or broken parts. It is running and cooling. I read some reviews that the shelves were plastic but our shelves are glass. The freezer has plenty of space and the side shelves of the refrigerator are great for large containers of milk and bottles. Overall, we are very happy with our choice and GE. It is exactly what we needed for a second refrigerator.

Great for condo with limited space options

This fridge is a near replica of the previous fridge that outlasted most appliances. Choices were limited due to size (width primarily) in my condo. This fits perfectly. Relatively quiet, spacious, although I did adjust the shelves four times.
I would recommend this to a friend!
