Really nice features. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is because of space where adjustable shelf slides up is not enough room for a round Tupperware pitcher. Probably because it’s counter depth, but still.

Upon installation the right door was broken- release for the quick open was broken. Then the compressor quit after 3 weeks! What a piece of junk!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the fridge overall but the ice maker is very slow at making ice and you have to pull pretty hard to open the freezer which is the only reason for only 4 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roomy freezer & door in door is great feature

So we bought this because it was what was in stock during the pandemic. Happily, love it in use. Originally I thought the two part door on the right was over engineering it but it’s very practical for grabbing stuff you use a lot and keeping the cold in. One draw back is it is not as fingerprints/ smudge-proof as I would have expected.

Loud humming for hours

We have had this for a few days and are strongly considering selling it. It is just too loud! I measure it at 68 db at the rear, about half way up, and it runs at this volume for hours. There's a low hum, and some high frequencies in there too. Our house is very quiet in the morning, so this noise can clearly be heard from the bedroom, to the point of waking me up.
This is actually our second unit: they replaced the first one for the same reason, but they both measured exactly the same volume of noise.
I haven't heard any sudden noises, this is just a continuous hum, so I think its the compressor. I have no idea why GE thinks this is an acceptable level of noise from a modern appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
