Love the freezer on the bottom

This is the first refrigerator/freezer with freezer on the bottom and I am so pleased we chose it. The previous owners of our new house had one and I was impressed when we looked at the place.

Pleasantly surprised

I bought this frig about 4 months ago and I love the Keurig coffee system. It’s a tad slow to heat up, but just have to be patient. The refrigerator portion is very open and spacious. The shelves on the left are narrow and not super useful except for narrow bottles such as salad dressing or soy sauce, so don’t love that. The bottom area (freezer) is pretty spacious too. I wasn’t sure I would love the shelve system in the freezer, but I do. (I had a side by side before.). My past frig produced more ice than this one, so haven’t been able to test how much use it produces to say fill up a cooler. So far very pleased. I hope this one lasts as long as my last GE (15 years).

I got it 3 months ago, all I can say it is as good as they get. Hot water , ice, crushed ice, and Keurig unit work just fine. We have no complaints.

Works great, but constant humming sound...

Keeps everything at proper temperature. Ice machine works great. Love the water dispenser. Only complaint is the humming noise from the motor. Hard to ignore. If that was fixed, this would be a 5 star rating.

Smartest Refrigerator

We got the counter depth model as it is only 2 of us now and we didn't need such a large fridge. I have to admit that the shelves on the door (especially on the ice maker side) are fairly useless. However, I love my refrigerator and having the convenience of the Keurig attachment on the door is genius. I have the water set to heat when I wake up in the morning so it is ready for me. We don't have to take up countertop space with a Keurig machine now. I get an alert on my phone when the water is ready. The freezer space is more than adequate for our needs as well.

Not too impressed

The refrigerator would spit out ices when it is full. That is something I have never experienced with other brands. I need to close the door with an extra push to make sure it is closed. Again, this is a design with no thoughtful consideration. Would not buy this GE brand again for future upgrade.

Poor quality, not practical

The fridge has a lot of features, but it is noisy at times, shelfs lack stability. While it is nice to see the ounces with the water dispenser, it should have more practical features. The door handle for the freezer should be designed for pulling upward motion. Also, the surface started to get rust stains.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
