Dud out of the crate!

Brand new high end built-in fridge was dead on arrival. 48hrs after being plugged in, did not achieve proper cooling. Couldn't be fixed by technician on service visit. Returning and buying more reliable brand. Avoid this fridge!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I owned this same refrigerator for 10 years so am familiar with it. The shelves and drawers in the new one are not as deep and hold less. Hard to put bigger items on shelves. Thought if you got rid of that bulging inside light it would free up the shelves. Do like the new lighting tho. Ice maker throws some cubes inside the fridge and it’s more difficult to get ice maker in proper spot.
The water for the dispenser took forever to fill a glass, had repair person here and could not fix it, said it was water pressure, but this replaced a GE Profile that worked fine. Then after 2 years, control panel failed. So sad that GE quality has gone down, my house is full of GE products, but I will have to look into other brands in the future.

We bought the GE Profile (built-in) to replace our aging side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. It's sharp-looking, has excellent internal organization, and the ice-maker and water filter work great. Loving it.
This frig looks great as a built in. Very modern and sleek. The larger design to the in door water dispenser is a great feature. Interior is organized well to accommodate needs of large family.
This fridge replaced a 27 yr old built in and it fit perfectly. Handles are easy to grip, the glass shelves are totally adjustable to fit one’s preferences and the overall look is stylish and matches well with the other GE profile appliances! It completed the kitchen update!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have found this refrigerator excellent in many areas but it makes a high pitch hum that can be stopped for a short time by opening the freezer side of the unit. No other problems have developed.
