The Right Size for the RIght Price

It's fine. Nice size. Not sure how I feel about the # of shelves. The fridge it replaced had more so it's an adjustment. The ice cubes could be a bit bigger. Water could be colder. Otherwise, it's good. Keeps the food cold, and that's what truly matters.

We’re glad to hear that your new refrigerator has been working well, and that you’ve been enjoying the size of the unit. However, we hate that you’ve been less than impressed with the number of shelves, the size of the ice cubes, and the water temperature. We’re constantly working to make our appliances better, and we’ll be sure to forward this feedback to our product team so we can continue to improve.

We've had this model for 10 years

All of the plastic tubes have become brittle and shattered in the past 3 months. Had a service guy come in a replace them - cheaper than buying a new fridge. Today woke up to another puddle of water on the hardwood floor it sits on. This time we don't know where the water is coming from. 10 years for a very expensive refrigerator to become obsolete is ridiculous. Sadly, GE Profile is the only maker of refrigerators that will fit in our space.

Ice Machine Issues
on October 20, 2020

When selecting "Cubed" Ice the machine spits out half crushed/half cubed. The crushed ice spits out everywhere. Seems like a minor problem but we are constantly having to clean up the floor after every use. Engineering bad on this or we have a lemon..

Hello Art20 - Thank you for your review. We appreciate the candid feedback. The ice issues you're dealing with are frustrating, we know.
It is normal to get a slight amount of crushed or broken ice cubes before or while dispensing cubed ice. This is most common after crushed ice was used and you then select cubes. The remaining chips in the crusher blades or the bottom of the bucket get picked up as cubed ice is dispensing.
Ice may spray over the side of the glass if the glass is held to far from the dispenser chute. Holding the glass approximately one inch from the dispenser chute will correct this. Also, ice may spray over the side of the glass if the mouth of the glass is too small. If possible, use a glass with a wider mouth (3 - 4" opening). If this issue persists, service may be needed.
We hope this helps! Thanks, again, for your feedback.

Looks pristine and immaculate quiet too

Just got our GE fridge today it took awhile for the fridge to arrive but when it did installation was a snap. The fridge looks beautiful and quiet. We haven’t used to ice maker yet it takes 12 hours to make. The water dispenser is fine and the filter looks easy to change every 6 months. Overall I’m pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Tom - Thanks so much for reaching out about your refrigerator. We are happy to have you in the GEA family and provide some assistance. When the door is not closing on its own the last few inches, this often means it has not been properly leveled. The front of the unit should be 1/4" higher than the back to ensure the door swings closed. Keep in touch!
