Love the stability and the spaciousness and bright lighting.
I’m so excited to have a new upgraded GE built-in. I had a 10 year old monogram that stopped working. I love the light in the freezer, new water/ice dispenser. But I was disappointed that there is no “actual temperature” reading, butter compartment and no defrost/express-chill drawer. Also the handles are cheap so I paid to get upgraded ones that look more like the ones I have on my other monogram appliances. I had to buy a fridge/freezer thermometer which shows that the fridge/freezer are warmer than the temp I have them set at. So instead of setting them at 37’ and 0’ I had to set at 35’ and 0’ to get safe temps. Otherwise the fridge is practically the same as what I had before.
We've had issues with the water dispenser since day one. Consistently takes 50% longer to get a glass of water than GE's own published worst-case specification. GE refuses to fix it, won't ever buy GE again.
But it keeps food cold, so customer service rep said I should be happy :-/
Mechanically great for the price but the lighting could be better especially in the freezer compartment. Every time I open the fridge, I REALLY miss not having a butter compartment. The way it dispenses Ice and water is still a bit awkward to use compared to my last fridge
Our old Built In was noisy and unreliable. Received our new GE Built In Refrigerator/Freezer and immediately noticed how quiet the appliance is. Fantastic. Product arrived in mint condition. Installers were great. Only issue we are noticing is the water dispenser is not consistently dispensing water. Also leaks a small amount of watr.
