GE Profile Built in Side by Side

this product replaces a same size built in Monogram we had for 25 years. In the one month since we have it, the doors and top panel came in scratched and dented. They are going to replace them. There appears to be less usable roomin the refrigerator section. They could have don a better job with the interior lights by using LED's thereby taking up less space. Lastly, a large portion of the ice in the compartment melts together. There is even a label saying this could happen. That is a significant design flaw and is truly unacceptable. There should be a work around given the price of this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Refrigerator

Purchased this refrigerator as an upgrade with our newly-constructed home. Changing the water filter is incredibly much easier than our last refrigerator in that it's all upfront behind an outside panel. The refrigerator's only drawback is that the doors are difficult to open, requiring a strong pull on both the cooler side as well as the freezer side. The GE technician has informed us that that is not adjustable whatsoever. (Therefore a 4-star rating versus a 5-star rating.)

Looks good but...

For a big piece of equipment it has little room. There is so much space taken up by lighting fixtures there is no room for large plates or platters. In addition the ice maker makes ice cubes but then turns it into a big block. I've set the temperature to -4 degrees but still no luck. I will have to call for service to correct the problem.

Just installed, but it fit a custom need. We're glad that GE has remembered the sizes that have come before. When it's time to buy new, we were able to fit our need with another GE.

Solid Build and Wonderful Features

This is one of the best high end refrigerators I have owned. The best part is the separate evaporators. This keeps the ice absolutely fresh tasting. There are no food orders at all. Very usable interior space.

Better than the old GE Monogram

After 25 Years the old GE fridge died...

We replaced our old Monogram GE built-in side by side with this Profile model. Very similar in size, capacity in freezer is less because of the ice/water dispenser. Much better doors, grille, attention to detail. We were delighted that the overall fridge is much better than previously owned supposed upgrade Monogram fridge. Super quiet.
