Love this fridge

Love the fridge. It has great space in both the freezer and the fridge. I am giving it 4 stars because the ice maker is so slow and doesn’t make very much ice. The last GE profile made a ton of ice.

Cheap quality at an expensive price

Read the negative reviews on this fridge here and other sites. Take the negative reviews seriously. Buy something else. I purchased mine in January of 2024. They put a nice shiny box around a bunch of cheap parts. only a 1 year warranty is a red flag. I have had a service tech come out 3 times already. Now they have agreed to replace it but won't have one available until late July. For an 11k fridge, you would not think it'd be breaking down like this. They offered a lower quality option that is available with no compensation for the price difference. It's a shame GE appliances have gone downhill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

everything is really nice save for the icemaker, it makes a mess, could be a lot better with more options.
miss the butter shelf with cover in door too.

Water Dispenser and Ice Maker Aren’t Great

Less than 3 weeks after moving into our newly renovated home, the water dispenser went from dispensing water straight down to dispensing it at an angle for no apparent reason, and now it leaks after use. Likewise, when the icemaker fills up and the arm moves in to stop ice-making, the arm “freezes” in place and doesn’t automatically pop out to start making ice again - so we find ourselves with a near-empty ice bin. We’ve put in a service call to our retailer, but this seems odd for a brand new unit. In addition, the whole water dispenser is placed too far back for a typical water glass. If you press your glass or hand against the dispenser arm, you have to position the glass almost tilted outward to make sure the water gets into the glass — and that’s with a tall glass!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice Maker

The size of the built in worked for us- I have had Profile lines in the past and I have always been a fan of GE. Like the fridge but I have never been happy with the ice dispenser. It seems the ice rotor (?) takes way too long to break down the ice to dispense. Currently having issues with it actually making ICE. its hit or miss- I need to get someone out to look at it. I'm wondering if I can install a different ice maker that makes smaller cubes. Maybe from a different model?
