Love the fridge - hate the ice dispenser

Purchased Cafe French door refrigerator bottom freezer with ice and water dispenser in door. Refrigerator and freezer are great - well designed, very functional. Ice dispenser is awful. Ice on the floor, and BREAKS GLASSES. Should only dispense into plastic cups - and the be prepared to clean up ice cubes that wind up on the floor, under fridge, under dish washer etc. Also be ready to clean up broken glass.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful in many ways!

Wonderful in many ways! Bright, easy to see everything, and quiet. The only small thing is the occasional drip on the tray underneath the water and ice dispenser leaves spots. Which I have found I can actually remove by scraping with my fingernail and I just put a very thin layer of cooking oil on it to keep it looking perfect! (I am not crazy about the finish and how every touch leaves fingerprints)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ice Maker ice falling out

Hi, We really like our fridge, but there is a definite issue with the ice maker. We have had the fridge a little over two years and the ice falls out of the icemaker onto shelves in the freezer. When you open the door ice falls out. I've read multiple reviews where this is clearly an issue. At this point GE should have a fix for this. Is there a fix for this? I've removed and empties the ice tray and reset it...all to no avail. Is there a recall or a fix for this issue?

Disappointed

This refrigerator is overpriced for the features and definitely disappoints! The ice maker is horrible and started malfunctioning after the first year. The freezer storage is inadequate. This unit is a nightmare to clean should a spill occur. This refrigerator is 2 years old and a HUGE disappointment. Definitely not worth the money. I would never purchase again or recommend it!

Door Closing Issue Spoiks Food

We have tried to figure out why the doors don’t close properly with no success. We have spoiled lots of food. GE repair has been unhelpful. Don’t buy this product

Love the auto dispense function and the photo cell that turns the water dispenser light when dark. Great shelf space and look sleek and beautiful.

Nothing beats having a brand new appliance! It’s bright, spacious, and we love the ice dispenser. The cubes are cute and smaller than the average cube size which is great. All the shelves have plenty of space between.
