So easy to use, so easy to clean, works so well, and is so darn fun!!! I’d say we’ve used it on at least 20 different days, over the last few months or so. Sometimes for just 3 or 4 sno-cones; sometimes for 10 or 20. … This product is exactly what we were hoping it would be! Thank you, Cuisinart!

My seven-year-old daughter loves snowcones more than anything. This is what she wanted for her birthday present. She has requested a snow cone every day cents! It works really well and I make the syrup at home using kool aid Hawaiian Punch and a simple syrup. She absolutely loves it and it works well!

I purchased this as a treat option for my grandkids. I figured since it was made by Cuisinart it would be a high quality and long lasting appliance for my kitchen. The price seemed reasonable too. I've never been disappointed in any of my Cuisinart products.
The unit was easy to set up and get started. It really didn't take too many ice cubes to make enough cones for 4 grandkids and a few adults. It took about 5-10 minutes to fill the container with the chipped ice. I found that it worked best with a firm, steady and straight hand when pushing down the plunger. You need to get a "feel" for the ice and how it is getting chipped. I had to move the plunger up and down a few times to keep a steady stream of ice bits. The ice is between shaved and crushed - just like a purchased sno-cone.
A great safety feature is the auto-off when you lift the plunger. It is fairly noisy so I ended up making them outside away from everyone so they could continue to talk. I did find the plastic cups provided with the unit to be too slippery for 5 year-old hands so I used some small plastic glasses instead. My glasses fit in the fold-down cone holders - a nice addition to the machine. The ice scoop impressed the kids because I could make the dome on top of their cup. It was a fun experience with the grandkids. We will get tons of use from it this summer!
I am very happy with the purchase of this sno-cone maker. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a high quality machine for making this type of treat. Also for anyone that wants to make adult beverage slushies!
