I bought this unit several weeks ago and I wish I had a couple years ago because it is the easiest machine I have ever seen. It shaves the ice so easy We use 1 finger to push the ram down and it shaves all the ice put in it. Clean-up is very easy,
best I have ever used.
The reason I gave it only 4 stars is I have a small problem emptying the
ice bin. Bottom has a high spot and the scoop is too big to get the ice out.

Great features/ blade replacement ?

It's a great product and works very efficiently. Our grand-kids enjoy it very much. I like the safe design of it as well. My only future concern is that there does not appear to be a way to obtain replacement blades when the time comes. It's such a waste to have to trash the whole machine for lack of blade availability.

I bought this last summer for a carnival. It has been borrowed many times. The quality is outstanding. The only thing is the ice isn’t quite as slushy as a real snow cone. It’s just not that big of a deal to me for the price. You can even look up recipes using Koolaid and sugar to make the syrup. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice looking machine and it works. The concern we have is that the "silver" colored part that pushes the ice down and the part inside is not metal, it's plastic. So, you have to be very careful how hard you push down to move the ice through, or it feels like it will break. As a result, it takes a long time to make the crushed ice. I expected more from Cuisinart, but so far it's working.

I read many reviews on many machines before buying this one and this met my needs for a decent machine at a good price point. However, now, having used it quit a bit, I have to say it is an outstanding unit especially for its price. It finely shaves regular ice cubes completely with no chunks or chips, just fine snow. There's no mess, no snow going everywhere and it cleans easily. I highly recomend this unit for home use. I would suggest that a couple sample packs of syrup be packed with the unit so you can "play" with it immediately.
