This snow cone maker is terrific. This works well and also makes great slushies with everything from Kool aide to soft drinks. I received mine as a Christmas gift and it was great to use for daiquiris. I would buy another one without hesitation. It hasn't over heated with our extensive use and is super easy to clean. Now that I have a great ice station, I plan to get the Cuisinart coffee maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started looking for a Snow Cone Maker a few weeks ago, but this one being a Cuisinart was the winner. As soon as it was at my door the kids had to open it, fortunately the syrups showed up the same day. ...we ran out of ice from the freezer that evening.
After stocking up with ice, and adding a few more flavors. My daughter's 10th birthday party (outside) was a hit ...a line formed after the first one was made. Easy and safe for these kids to make on their own. Clean up was quick with a few paper towels. And of course snowballs were made when unsupervise for a few minutes.

This is a decent product for the money, it has nice eye appeal and looks nice on a countertop. However, I have had many snow cones in my life and most of the have consisted of small pieces of ice, many just like shaved ice. The ice this unit makes is larger pieces and at times hard to chew on. It basically produces a low end type of ice, not the same as other machines, but again it does not have the price of those machines.
