Love my new purple toaster

I love my new purple toaster. It does what it's supposed to do which is make toast. The controls are easy to figure out (everyone has their own preference and you will need to find yours) and I have tried it with frozen items such as toaster strudel and it has worked fine. I don't eat bagels so I can't offer any review there. The extra boost from pulling up the handle eliminates the need for toast tongs on most items. I like the removable crumb tray. It does have a metal coating burn off smell when you first use the toaster but that is explained in the directions. I worked many years for a gas utility in field service and if most of the complainers smelled a brand new heating system in a new home getting fired up for the first time they wouldn't live in the house. The smell has gone away and the Oster toaster and I hope to have many happy years together making plain old toast.

Pretty But Toast Only One Side

I decided to spend a little more on a toaster this time around. I was swayed by how pretty it is. Unfortunately, it's terrible at it's job. It only toasts one side so I have to pop it up, turn it around and hope I don't forgot to pop it up before it burns. Needless to say, I HAVE forgotten to pop it up the second round and have had many burnt pieces of toast. When you look inside, only half of the elements on one side are heating up (and NO, I don't have it on a bagel setting). Disappointing. Gave it 2 stars because it's pretty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Toasts to your taste!

I was given this toaster as a sample to test out. I was a little skeptical at first because the first few times I used it, I smelled burning plastic. It scared me and I thought that maybe I left some of the packing materials inside the toaster. After a while the smell went away. The toaster works better than any other toaster I have had. It is very simple to use with only a couple of buttons and toasts to the level of doneness that you specify. I have not had any burnt toast, which I used to experience frequently on the lower settings of my old toaster. I highly recommend this toaster and am very pleased with it's performance

Stunning color

The toaster is beautiful. Compliments my kitchen wonderfully. It toasts a little more evenly than most toasters. However, it is quite sensitive. It will take getting used to setting adjustment right. I put it on 2, and it was too "done" for me. I had my other toaster a little past 3, but that may just be because this is newer.
The bagel setting also makes it toast browner, and not quite as even as the regular setting, but still better than my old one. I usually have to turn it and put it back down, but not on this one.
Overall, it is a very good toaster, and definitely more attractive than most.

Pretty Design and Sleek Styling

This toaster gave me perfectly toasted bread on the very first use. After that, not so much. After several weeks of use, the bread is not toasting evenly on both sides; I generally have to flip it half way through the process. With the bagel setting, I expected the bagels to be toasted on one side only; hey, I figured that's why there was a special setting because we really don't want the bottom side toasted. That is not what happened. I ended up with burnt bagels on both sides of the bread. I then read the manual and realized the Bagel setting actually keeps the bagels in the toaster for a longer period of time. After realizing this fun fact, I made the necessary adjustments on the light/dark lever and now get a perfect toast on my bagels.
One part of the design I don't like is the sliding light/dark lever at the bottom of the machine. Once I press the toast lever down, my view of the slider is obstructed by the toast lever. If they can figure out how to separate these two items then I would be okay with it. Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review.

I love my new turquoise toaster! I'd have to say, this is the first time I've ever had a toaster that so many others noticed for its uniqueness! I've enjoyed trying the various features and settings to accommodate toasting preferences and it has performed well with frozen waffles, thicker slices of bread and English muffins as well as standard slices of bread. I love the clean design and unusual color for something so basic as a toaster. This model has a lot to offer for the reasonable price it sells for although I was given this one as a tester to provide feedback and rating. Next time I need a new toaster, I will look for an Oster to see what new features they've come up with!

Great Toaster

I use this toaster just about every day, and i love it! It works great ! Love the frozen button, it cooks waffles fast. You have to play with the levels to get your toast just right but once you do its great. Good quality! and I love the sleek look. I would highly recommend this toaster. I got it for a sample to test and try and love it!

Nifty Little Toaster

This toaster has been a lifesaver compared to my old toaster. The wide slots accommodate wider bread and the lifter feature really helps get Pop Tarts out easily. My last toaster constantly smelled of burnt Pop Tarts because my kids couldn't get them out without breaking them. Not a problem with this toaster! It also toasts very evenly and is simple to use. Overall, I would give this 5 stars! Note: I received this toaster free to evaluate, but I would definitely purchase one.
