No reliability

When I realized how long I’ve had I was shocked to be experiencing a problem with it. 3yrs a little over, replace a water inlet valve, now I’m being told it needs the motherboard. Now it keeps filling while spinning. My is so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Malfunctioning

The Presoak button activates on its own and fills washer unnecessarily. Our lid locked and it will not allow us to get to clothing or drain the washer

Dissappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the product based solely on the good reputation for Whirlpool. My house was under renovations and I needed something quick. This washer seemed like a newer product and even though I had a front loader before, I opted for a top loader to make it easier on my back.
The machine is noisy and I did not know what it meant to have an "agitator" Idid not know I had options on that, the sales person did not tell me anything about it. The only reason I gave a 2 star is that I can remove the agitator. Agitator shred my bedding and some other clothing. I used the washer not knowing that it would do that to clothing since they only give you a 1 page with general instructions on how to use the washer when they delivered it. HOWEVER, even without the agitator, it can shred some of my clothing if I do not make sure I use the 'delicate' cycle ALL the time. I was frustrated to have to go "look" for the information on a website with the instructions on how to use each wash option...I am very displeased with my purchase but because the machine works, I was told I could not return it/exchange it That might be the sales Co. policy so I will probably NOT buy another appliance from them either.
I was looking forward to owning a new Whirlpool washer, however, it turned out to be a great dissapointment and now I am stuck with it.

Multiple repairs in 4 yrs, including control board

I have had to have multiple repairs done to my washer and dryer. I would never recommend these.

Worst washer ever

We bought this washer brand new for a ridiculous amount of money just 2 short years ago. We have replaced multiple parts on it. The softener/water fill part has rusted completely out. We have had to pay several times now to keep in running. There is not much of a manual that goes with it either. Would love to have my old washer back. It worked ten times better than this one and didn't cost me a fortune to keep running or fix but noooo i just had to have a pretty brand new washer. Don't be unintelligent like me and buy this washer. You're better off getting an old one off of facebook marketplace

Beware

Worst machine I have ever owned. Only works in Bulky items/ normal loads. Can’t handle big or bulky loads. Just 1 small laundry basket. Constantly getting error codes F8E1 and F3E3 pretty sure it was prevented when I bought it from the big store because Whirlpool thought I was a different person when I called. They said my warranty had expired but I don’t agree. It was registered to a different person

Very disappointed

I switched from Samsung to whirlpool a few years ago for appliances due to poor quality after a few years. I've owned this washer for less than 3 years and it completely shut down. Apparently after troubleshooting the drain pump caused the main board to short out. And whirlpool is wanting to charge as much as I paid for the washer for the replacement parts. Guess I'll try LG next..
