Cash band cut open in 2 days.

This was a Xmas gift and I finally got around to switching over but within 2 days the bands started cutting. I have 2 strips left on the one side of the cash strap and 1 strip left on the other. Looking at the pieces it feels surprisingly sharp on the underside of each piece. It doesn't cut skin but you can almost a burr. Neat looking wallet otherwise and I was looking forward to using it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great idea, but the bands keep breaking.

Received one of these for Christmas this year and was enjoying it. However, after only a few weeks, the band holding it together broke. The purchaser called and we were sent replacement bands, but they are also breaking. They last about 2 weeks, then start to break, one strap at a time. I only have 6 cards in it and only rarely ever strap cash in it. I don't know if the straps are really weak or if the finish on the edge of the wallet is too sharp and cutting the straps, but my wallet is largely unusable. Once the first strap cuts loose, the rest could go at any moment, scattering my cards around the store. I wish the straps didn't break. I really enjoy the wallet otherwise, but putting an new band on it every two weeks just is not sustainable. I have a couple of neat sheets of metal that I can't do anything with.

I wanted to like this wallet.

But the same thing happened to me, the band broke. When I put all the cards I need to carry, credit, healthcare, atms, etc there was just not enough room for cash and the bands broke. It would likely work if there were optional "fat" bands. The other suggestion is.. that all the nuts and bolts I deal with are metric and there is wasted space at the lower left of the tool that would easily fit the most common small metric sizes.

I've used mine most of the time for several years now. It's the best to carry when I need just a DL, credit card and a twenty. Only take my regular wallet when I travel.

It's better than you think

I received this as a gift, along with my 2 brothers receiving the same. We all three now really like it. The Mulit tool Wallet works best for what it is: a wallet. It holds a lot- cards, cash, receipts-- and the design is so simple as to be genius. Yet the metal is heavy enough to let you know when you've got it in your pocket. You can use the holes in the metal to push out items from underneath, as well nudge them out easily from the top or sides. I was a bit concerned that it was actually airport safe. The first time I carried it, TSA pulled my backpack aside. I figured the wallet was the culprit. But when they dug through, they saw the wallet and kept looking until they found the Leatherman Micra I forgot was inside. The tools are great too, although I have only used a few of them so far. Lastly, you can use the rubber band to shoot small objects across the room. Buttons work well. Just use it like a tiny crossbow for buttons. Nite Ize you make cool stuff. Thanks for another one.

Almost great product

The rubber strap they give you is next to useless with a short shelf life if you do call in they will send you more straps. Have been using a hair tie and that works so much better and lasts a lot longer.

Great wallet, small flaw; stellar customer support

Great balance of simplicity and utility, but like some others have said, the band on this will break eventually. Mine lasted about a year and honestly elastic bands were a perfectly acceptable temporary replacement. I'm mostly writing this review because I reached out to customer support about replacement bands, not expecting much, but instead received exemplary support from Nite Ize. Honestly makes me so happy to see a company stand by their products

Great Product with minor cons

I've had the money clip for about 8 months now. I bought it at a MCX on Camp Pendleton and have purchased numerous products from the Company. This particular item needs to have a heavier duty band that can hold the 4 cards and some cash that an average person would carry. I have had a total of 5 cards on it but it seemed to much for the band so I went down to 4 cards and it was snug enough with the cards and cash. I would also suggest maybe providing an additional band with the item just in case the band breaks within the first year as mine has done. Overall I would recommend this product to friends and have already had three friends buy them two of which have had the same problem with their band as well.
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Lightweight, Well Constructed
Cons: Money Band wears out to quickly
I would recommend this to a friend!
