Won't turn on

Charged it with the red light on and when it turned off tried to turn it on. Nothing. Charged it longer and nothing.....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery doesn't last

It's bright and easy to use, but I'm getting less than an hour of light before it shuts itself off (when fully charged).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Longevity?

I bought one of these not quite a year ago and a second one about a month ago for a second dog. The first one now barely holds a charge. In order to reduce waste, it’d be great if either the battery was replaceable or the light mechanism could be purchased separately from the polymer part of the necklace. Especially if the life span of the battery is going to be relatively short.

Great idea but falls off

This provides great visibility. However, it fell off twice, and the second time was not relocated, so unfortunately, I was not able to get much use out of it.

Falls apart

While the collar is highly visible, and it is quick to recharge; one of the ends keeps popping out. I have been securing it to my dog’s regular collar so it wouldn’t get lost. Last night however, I didn’t secure it, and failed to notice it fall off once we hit street lights. Fortunately, on retracing my steps, I found it in 2 places, as this time both ends had detached from the charger. I’ve now secured the ends with electrical tape
I’m still giving a 4 star review though, as my brindle coloured pup is still highly visible across a playing field.

I run my german shorthaired pointers every night after dark. We have a great area but there are lots of golf carts coming thru fast. These collars are the best I have ever seen for animal protective illumination; plus, they look super cool. I have bought 8 total and I give them to all our friends who have dogs and take them out at night. The rechargeable battery life is excellent.

My ONLY complaint...

My ONLY complaint is that there's no way to SECURE the collar (to keep it from easily pulling apart/falling apart). It would be great if you would create a version that does stay joined. (I've had to buy numerous replacements for the lost ones.) Otherwise, I give this product 5++ stars!

Love it, except for 1 tiny thing...

So I love these things. I live in the city and one of my dogs is black so in the mid-block darkness she'd scare people. I also love the added safety when crossing streets and such, making us just a little more visible. The only problem I've had, though, is that the micro-usb covers aren't secured to the unit, and they are legit, teeny tiny little plugs. Needless to say they were lost within the first couple of days. A feature I would like to see added is a battery level indicator so we aren't 5 minutes into a walk and the things dies on us.
