Yes, it dries.

It doesn't tie all my clothes in knots. It dries things thoroughly (if you choose the right settings). I could not, however, make it connect with the wifi app. Oh well, I wouldn't use that anyway. And here's one you won't hear everyday: It was fairly easy to change the door from opening right to opening left. It was definitely installed with the door on the wrong side for the machine's location. (Obviously done by someone who has never done laundry.) I made the switch myself. The door is heavy and cumbersome, but the directions in the User's Manual were easy to follow. Thank you, GE.
