Love the smart features!

I have to admit here that I didn’t really read all of the features when I picked out my washer and dryer. I was looking for front load and stackable to fit in my space. The feature I love, that I didn’t even realize was part of this machine is connecting it to the SmartHQ app. My laundry room isn’t close to my main living area, so I don’t have to go check to see if the washer is done to switch it over, I get an alert on my phone. Much added convenience for when I’m doing something else.

I was given this product as a Christmas gift. I had the original style dryer but this on allows for me to use it in many different ways.

Lots of great features compared to our former modl

We built a new home and based on prior experience wanted a US made product mainly for parts availability down the road. There were many GE models available and since we wanted another front loader washer we bought the dryer that matched. This dryer has a lot of drying options. We enabled the wifi mainly to let us know when a cycle is done when we are in other parts of our house (we usually close the laundry door especially if the washer is running ... the dryer is fairly quiet).
Our only minor criticism is the filter is a pain to separate and clean compared to other dryers we've had. Despite doing that a lot we've already had to vacuum out lint from below the filter after only a month of fairly heavy use (after moving in to our new home we washed pretty much all our cloths that had been in storage). Time will tell how good quality and reliability are, but we have rarely had problems with dryers vs washers over the years.
