OK Dryer, but Not Worth the Price

I had to hastily purchase this GE dryer sight unseen when the dryer I had for over 20 years finally went kaput. Usually, when I make a big purchase like this, I like to do my research first, but, in this case, I had no time. I would've liked to have gotten the same dryer I had before, but they are no longer in production. The salesman told me this was the closest to the one I had, and that is why I purchased it.
This dryer has many of the same features as others in it's price range. It does alert you when the cycle finishes if you download the app, but this is a feature that I could have done without. I am a person who likes to hang most of my clothes damp, not only to avoid shrinkage, but also to preserve the life of the fabric. The sensor on this dryer is not very perceptive. Sometimes, when the cycle finishes, the clothing is damp. Other times, it is almost dry. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it does or doesn't work. For the most part, the loads are about the same size, and I set the dryer on the same cycle, so it's a mystery to me.
Other than that, it is a good dryer, but I would have preferred to pay less, and find one without the "smart" features that worked as well as my old dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this and the washer due to the ability to reverse the doors. It works well with the exception of balling the sheets together, even when using the bedding setting.

Lint trap

Excellent Dryer

Love this dryer. Always gets my clothes dry the first time which was not the case with my old dryer. Love that it is a smart dryer and notifies me when it is complete.
