Dryer works well. We bought the dryer and washer set to stack. The problem is the controls for the dryer are leaning back to allow easier viewing when not stacked make it difficult to read when it’s stacked. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

GE DRYER

I bought GE thinking it’s a good investment, I am replacing a pair of matching 25 year old Kenmore elite HE3 Washer & Dryer, I received the washer dryer the same day, One week later, if that the dryer rattles the front sheet metal rattles against the back inside sheet metal, I am extremely disappointed. The Lint screen is a better design but I do not feel that the plastic will hold up long-term since it is basically a plastic hinge that you open and close every time to clean it. I am disappointed in today’s durable goods. Even our local appliance repair facility stated they are built very cheaply. It is a bit awkward to get used to the touchpad controls as you can bump them and change things so easily just by walking by. It is extremely confusing to do a simple task, such as pausing and restarting at times it will fully reset and at other times it will add time if you pause and restart. Overall, the dryer dries very well but I think it’s a little cheaply built and overly complicated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far really love the dryer! Love the settings, doesn’t have the steam setting that I had before but I never used it anyhow. Very happy with my purchase.

I’m still on the fence with this dryer because it’s noisy (it sounds like a washing machine on spin) and the clothes are damp even on appropriate settings so I have to turn it on again to get them dry. I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing but I’ve never had this issue before with a new dryer.

Large capacity, dries quickly when we use timed dry. We tested a load of towels with a preset factory setting, but found the towels were still damp and the timed dry worked best. It is easy to use.

Worked great until it broke after warranty expired

Dryer worked great until just after the one year warranty expired. Noticed a loud thud when running and found a huge crack in the drum after removing clothes. Whole dryer is essentially broken and no recourse since the warranty just expired...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE electric dryer

We are very happy with our choice of the GE electric dryer. Easy to operate and most important very efficient in drying clothes, towels, etc. Also like the large capacity which creates less loads.
