Noisy

I've owned several GE refrigerators. This one is the noisiest I've ever owned in my life. Dealer has been back twice to try to fix the noise with no luck. They've replaced the part each time, But no significant improvement. Can hear the frig cooling 30 ft and two rooms away. Said the fault is in the design of the cooling compartment. Can hear the rotating fan when it runs, sounds like a small machine gun.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good fit for the space I had

Keeps the food nice and cold. The door has to really be pushed hard to close it. The guys who delivered it said there wasn't any way to adjust the pitch of the appliance so the door would gently close on its own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello. We appreciate you reaching out, though we truly hate to hear you’ve had issues with the water line leaking and your ice coming out in clumps. We know that must be worrying, and we’d like to assist.

Regarding the issue with clumping ice, you may want to make sure the freezer is at least ¾ full of food – ice clumping together is often caused by cubes melting slightly and refreezing together, and an adequate food load will help buffer warmth from the defrost cycle and prevent melting. A full ice bin can also cause clumping because the weight of the cubes on top can cause bottom cubes to fuse together; if that’s the case, you may want to discard clumped ice and check the bin to ensure it’s not building up too much.

For the water line leak, you might want to check the connections to see if they’re secure. Replacement Refrigerator

I was very dissatisfied with the original fridge that I received in August of 2021. The top freezer section accumulated ice in the freezer and on the inside of the freezer door. GE was out to install new gaskets numerous times, but the freezer still accumulated stalactites and stalagmites!
