Good, food doesn't stay so fresh

The fridge is ok and the freezer is better. Food in my fridge doesn't seem to stay as fresh as my other fridge I had before I got this one. Especially fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Inside features include glass shelving and door mounted plexiglass holders. Much heavier than a similar unit made by another brand that we own. Had initial trouble with ice maker but it now is working fine. Outside SS finish on door was perfect but box had slight imperfection on top corner that I touched up with black marker. Refrigeration unit runs quiet but takes a few days to adjust to changes in temperature. Temperature fluctuates between 42-50 degrees when set at recommended setting. Freezer not as cold as my previous GE but cold enough to freeze most food items. Ice cream is softer than last GE refrigerator I owned. Handles are heavy duty/strong, no plastic. Door opens smoothly, closes by itself.
