Both the freezer door and the fridge door do not close properly. They both tend to swing open unless you use an exaggerated push to close it. Furthermore, there is no light on the freezer.

The adjustable shelves only have 3 ways to adjust up and down . My old kenmore had 6 ways to adjust and it had one shelf that could split in two. The light inside the refrigerator is very dim. No light in the freezer. I have to get a refrigerator repair man to put in a water filter. This refrigerator should be a little bigger. The side shelf barley lets me put in a dozen eggs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great fridge

The fridge is nice. Overall it does the job. A few things that are minor annoyances are the shelves and the placement. Also how low the bottom shelf is on the door but like I said nothing seriously wrong. Great fridge.

Not as good as last one

I bought this exact same refrigerator in 2007. When the last began making loud noises I didn’t hesitate to purchase same one. New one has no freezer light and the door shelves have less adjustability. New one is almost as loud as old when it went on the fritz.

Large freezer

This fridge seems good so far, except the door to the fridge is not closing...we have to manually close it most of the time. The suction on the door once closed is really tight. In fact, sometimes it's hard to open. Freezer is huge and love that!! Lots of room on the door too. Meat tray is really small and seems like GE could have made that bigger as there is plenty of room on the left side OR they could have added a cheese drawer. It just seems like a large amount of unorganized space (the second shelf down). We asked for the door handles to come on the right and they weren't. We asked the person who delivered it if they could change it, but he said we would have to call and reschedule someone to come out. Given the quarantine, my husband was able to figure it out.
