The perfect bread tanning machine!

I have used the toaster for a few weeks, and it works very well. It has a defrost setting which is nice, though I don't eat much frozen bread. The only draw back for me was a shorter than expected power cable, which limited my choices of countertop placement, but overall a very nice product. It features a sleek, modern design, and operates efficiently. I would recommend this product to friends and family, it might not be the greatest invention since sliced bread, but it will handle the aforementioned invention to perfection.

I've had this toaster less than a month, and it's already not working. Handle won't stay down for toasting. So disappointing that such a simple appliance is so poorly manufactured.

Disappointed

Previously owned an Oster long slot toaster and when it came time to replace it, was excited to find a new one and this time in stainless. This has turned out to be the worst toaster I've ever had. Doesn't even come close to toasting things evenly and burns the bottom corner of toast and bagels on both sides. Very disappointed. After two months bought another brand.

1st time use gave out horrible noxious smell

I just bought this toaster tonight and I was so excited! Tried it with sliced french bread and the smell from the toaster was so horrible like burning electrical plastic smell! how disappointing. I have birds in the house so I had to open all the doors, windows, & turned on fan to get that toxic smell out of the house before it hurts my birds.

Gets VERY HOT on the outside

I was looking to buy a Oster 4-slice long slot for a while, since I owned another one and love it. I finally found it and was excited to try it. When I got home and plugged it to test, I was very surprised and disappointed that the outside of the toaster gets VERY, VERY HOT!!!. It feels like a hot pan that was cooked on the stove or oven. I never had any problems with other toasters getting that hot on the outside as the inside.
It doesn't seems right that the toaster doesn't have any heating protection on the outside. I will return it and will find another toaster!

Why can't I find a toaster that works?

This seems like a simple product to make, and yet I haven't found one I'm happy with. When we put two slices in, the elements in the second slot never got warm and the first slot burned part of the toast and barely toasted the rest. Can it be this hard to get right?

My toaster is toast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this toaster as a gift because we were using an old 1950s Sunbeam two slice toaster. So since it was a four slicer we started using it. Your toaster worked for about two to three years but didn't toast evenly. Now the toasters inside racks have jammed and this toaster is toast. Back to my old old faithful 50s Sunbeam and great toast!!
