So convenient!

I love that I get to control it myself and I can do it when I have the time. I would recommend this to anyone looking for permanent hair removal!!!

Minor discomfort.Some learning curve to perfect it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to give this Braun IPL hair removal tool a try after using other treatment methods in the past. The enclosed Quick Guide pamphlet provides brief introduction to skin prep and device usage. There is also a more detailed manual that includes safety precautions, usage, benefits and the such. Everything you need to utilize this device, including the razor to prep the treatment area, is included along with a zippered storage case. I like the three treatment heads that are included: the standard for all areas, the wide for large areas such as back, legs, and the precision head for small area such as the upper lip. I specifically wanted this device for my upper Iip area, under arms and for my husband's back. I initially did a test patch on my leg to see how my skin would react and also to learn how to use this device. It is very important to shave all the hair of treatment area prior to using. I accidentally forgot to this on the test patch and the zapping of the existing hair was painful. There is certainly a learning curve associated with it such as making sure that the treatment window is pressed firmly against the treatment area and that both skin tone sensors are touching the skin. These sensors measure the skin tone and then the pre-set power will be displayed the LED Power Bars on the side of the device. White light bars signify that skin tone was detected. No lights mean no skin contact and red lights means that the skin tone is invalid; these two scenarios will cause the device not to be activated and you will have to reposition it. After learning these sensors, the usage becomes easier. I began with the sensitive mode (recommended for first time users and sensitive areas) and slowly and continuously gliding the device (recommended when using on large areas) while holding the treatment button. This produced a startling flash of light which I eventually got used to. For the upper lip and under arms, I used the precision head with the stamping method (press and release the treatment button them lifting the device and placing it onto the next adjacent spot until entire area is treated). It is recommended to follow these treatments weekly for 12 weeks then to be used monthly for maintenance. It is important to note that you must not look at the flashing light due to possibly injuring eyes and also not to treat an area more than once each week. Lastly, there is some pain when first zapping then it subsides after getting accustomed to it. I have not used it long enough to determine the full efficacy yet I am optimist.

Great Hair Removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited about a month to write a review so that I could give a good review. First of all it is very easy to use, the instructions were very clear and easy to read. It says that it will significantly reduce the hair in about 3 months and 1 month in I have noticed a big difference in the amount of hair in the area I am using it. It have 3 intensity level so I used the lowest intensity at first thinking it might hurt a bit, it stung a little bit at first but now I am use to it and it doesn't hurt at all anymore. It is very fast to do a treatment, less than minutes to treat my chin hairs. I also used it on my underarms and within a month there was barley and hair there. I have also gone to the clinics and paid for hair removal and it is much more expensive than this at home air removal system. I highly recommend this to anyone that want to stop using the razor all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted to try a hair reduction system and so glad I did. The Braun Silk expert Pro 3 is easy to use and has 2 modes, one that is more gentle and the other a normal setting whereas you do feel it, somewhat like pin prick but I find it not to be too bothersome. Right now I'm just using this on my legs and I'm finding that the growth is hair regrowing is less and less as time goes on. I'll be trying it on other parts of my body but as of right now, I am really happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was always to nervous to try laser hair removal because I had heard that it was very painful. I was shocked when I tried this and I felt nothing at all. After I used it there was no redness or tenderness, it was like nothing even happened.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just used this Braun US Silk Expert Pro 3 for the third time and I'm starting to see results already. I initially did a test area as recommended and didn't have any skin issues so I proceeded with my first treatment on my legs. I like the glide feature so that I can do large areas like my legs quickly. It took me approximately 8 minutes per leg. It does give me a little stinging feeling however it's not bad at all. It certainly is tolerable. I quickly learned to make sure I get good contact by having the entire window area firmly against my skin. If it's not correctly positioned it won't work. The cord is plenty long enough so I can be totally comfortable while using it. It's not too big and bulky as to not fit comfortably in my hand. So far I've only used the larger head as I'm doing my legs. It did come with the smaller size for doing smaller areas such as underarms and face. I'm following the recommendations and only using it once every 7 days. I was quite skeptical with how well this would work however I just completed my 3rd treatment and I'm pleasantly surprised to say I'm already noticing fewer hairs! The pieces fit nicely in the included leather zip up case when not being used. I'm definitely excited to continue using this!

Great choice in hair removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I really like this Braun hair removal alternative to laser removal. First of all it saves a lot of money doing this at home. It is somewhat time consuming but I expected that. I was nervous to use at first but it really is very simple to use once you get used to it. I definitely can see a reduction in hairs - not completely hairless yet but considering I haven’t been using for a long time I’m very pleased!
