Great At Home Hair Removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk Expert Pro 3 Hair Removal System has been great to have at home. You can use this right out of the box, there is no set up required. I really liked that it comes with a razor. The directions are so easy to understand and follow. With my skin color and hair color it worked really well. I really like that when you are using this if a part of your skin or hair color isn't correct it won't work, you will see a red light. On areas you can use it the flash will go off on it's own. The flash is very bright on this. I do end up wearing sunglasses while using this. That would really be my only issue. There is a little bit of heat that the light and flashes give off. But this does not hurt at all. You can also turn down the setting on here if you don't need it so high or if you are a little bit more sensitive. This is very easy to glide over my legs and and other areas I am looking to use this on. I have been using this for a number of weeks already. I have already seen a difference in how my hair is growing back, and that I don't have to shave as often.

Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Braun IPL PL3012 for several weeks, and I have used it 4 times, with one week between uses. I have fair/light skin (always burn without sunscreen, but can tan) and medium colored hair. The skin on my lower legs is not sensitive, but it is very sensitive on my inner thighs and bikini line and underarms, which makes shaving painful. I have not had any adverse effects or reactions to using this product.
The PL3012 is relatively easy to use. The biggest challenge for me was looking away from the device when the laser was in use. For this reason, I found it easier to use single pulses (stamp mode), move the device to the next spot, and then activate another single pulse. The head does gently glide along the skin if you choose to use the glide mode. There is a slight stinging in some areas that quickly goes away, but in most places there is only a warm sensation. It is very similar to how it felt when I had laser hair removal done at a salon, but much more affordable and easier to schedule.
The included booklet says it can take several uses over a few months to interrupt all the hair's growth cycles. Thus, I don't have significant results to report yet. I am optimistic that continued uses will reduce or eliminate my need to shave.

Time Investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, anyone buying this needs to know they will need to invest some time to see results. I have been using it for a bit over 6 weeks and I am seeing less regrowth. I know I still need to use it longer to see more possible results and there will still be maintenance that will need to be done. Overall I have liked the results I have seen and will continue to use it.

I’ve already noticed a significant decrease in hair growth on my legs and underarms. It is basically painless. Just a small slight stinging sensation. Not bad at all! It is foolproof to use as well. The light changes to indicate that it is ready to use. I love this IPL. Shaving is such a hassle and I love that I no longer have to worry about it! Yay!

This one leaves great skin, no razor bumps, no discolouration, hair growth reduces, slightly painful but worth the pain, there are a lot of conditions that needs to be satisfied before usage which can be a con.

I’ve used it for a few weeks and have started to notice not as much hair grows so I don’t have to shave every night and seems to be thinning out. Definitely read the instructions before use! I didn’t want to use it on my legs after reading them. You can’t have sun exposure for several days after and I didn’t want to deal with the irritation on my legs. You need to shave before using. It comes with a Venus razor. Once you get going with it it’s pretty easy too use. It causes a little irritation and warmth, nothing unbearable though. Comes with a carrying case also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical if this would really work or not. It recommends using for 12 weeks to see full effects and I have not made it that far yet. I will say I have noticed some difference in my armpits.. some good and some bad. The good is even though the hair growth hasn’t stopped completely, it has grown back softer so maybe that’s the first step. The downside though is that I use to not be very sweaty and I have since gotten sweatier and noticed more odor than I ever use to. I haven’t noticed any difference on my legs or face. It comes with a carrying bag to store it in. It is very easy to use. Plus in, press button, and let it warm up. Press to skin and press button, move it along skin with button held down to cover more area. If it doesn’t have good skin contact at any point it simply won’t work so you will know if your doing it correctly. The light flash is very bright but there isn’t any pain at all to me as far as my legs or pits go. When I use it on my chin area, there is more of a sensation. Kind of like a rubber band but not as bad. It’s def more tolerable than I thought would be. Overall I do have hope that if I continue to use this weekly that I will continue to see better results!
