VIEWSONIC M2 MODEL We LOVE IT! I spent hours researching and made a list for OUTDOOR movie theater. There were a lot of reviews online for the M1 but that model is so different that M2. This is why I had to leave a review as there are not that many and based on customer purchase videos found online it looks like it has been more popular outside if USA. I took that as a good sign as I worked for a European company for 20yrs and was amazed how in last 10 years they seem to be more advance / tech savvy customers. 1. Picture amazing, was worried because a lot of web site say for outdoors you need min 2,200 Lumens. 2. Sound, not bad. Will be connecting speaker, until we can research more the Bluetooth situation. From all the research I know a lot of projectors are struggling with offering Bluetooth feature. I hope we can figure out how to connect to SONOS! 3. WIFI all good, we used apple TV. 4. Looks AMAZING, I really did not want to get a big and clunky looking projector. I had back up Epson and BenQ in this price range in case this one did not work. This one is slick and looks so good with out home decor. I was worried that at 100" + size image would loose quality, but did not. Looks great. 5. 2.5 hours of cordless, have not tried this out, but this is another reason I chose this. I want to be able to move it around the house if needed and especially for CAMPING or blackouts were are stuck with not electricity. PS. There is one consumer video online, were he plugs the Viewsonic WIFI stick to the back, That is possible, but gets in the way of adjusting projector. Thanks to watching another video in a language I do not speak ( picture speaks a thousand words) I saw they hooked it right in the same place compartment it comes in. The instructions book makes it a bit confusing.

This will be brief. I own almost 9 projectors - many from Viewsonic but also other brands LG, Optoma, Xiaomi. First of all no one beats Viewsonic when it comes to colors. And the M2 is no different! Stunning picture quality for the price and it does really project a huge image at a smaller distance. The sound could be better really. Many times I think the M1+ has a better sound than this one. The same goes to brightness. It's not bad at all but would love if it was just a tiny bit brighter. Viewsonic software really needs work - they need to hire a UX/UI designer and not sure why they don't work with Google to offer official Android. AGAIN though the image quality beats every con and that's why the 5 stars. I have connected mine to an NVIDIA Shield tog get android TV - it also upscale the image to look even better. I am in love with this projector besides the cons. I've spent so much money on Viewsonic before hope they see this and offer me the next one for a review lol

I tested the M1+ but the zoom option sucks balls. While the M1+ is very compact, the zoom dial is extremely finicky. Returned the M1+ for the M2 unit. I am impressed with it so far. Autozoom, brighter picture and higher quality display are some of my favorites so far. One big CON with these units is that they can't take a long password if your network has one. Viewsonic needs to revise the firmware/software ASAP on this. I will not go into detail as one a long password is better than a shorter one. Fix it Viewsonic! My other CON is the internal memory. Too small. Memory is cheap these days and for the price I paid for this unit, come on! In general, those are some of my CONs from my first two weeks of owning this unit. I hope to see the next model has the shortcomings that this unit has, fixed. It is a great unit, not big but not small like the M1+. Get you one today! You won't be sorry!
