Would have given 5 stars except 1099-MISC

I would have given 5 stars, but TurboTax less than clear when I had to enter info from 1099-MISC regarding income. Have used for years and never an issue, but first time I had to enter that info and it was confusing. Wasted too much time.

Beware of continuing Turbotax errors

I have used Turbotax for over 20 years. A mistake was made on a return ten years ago regarding rental property depreciation. That same mistake was replicated by Turbotax for eight years until my CPA caught it. It cost me over $6,000 in depreciation writeoffs that can never be recovered.

Turbo Tax Handled All the Complications

The feature to download transactions from my stockbroker was very useful and saved a lot of time entering transactions. Turbo Tax has been tracking my nondeductible IRA contributions for years and seamlessly computed the taxable amount of my distribution. Using Turbo Tax was no doubt easier than doing all the calculations by hand.

turbo tax helps with step by step instructions. Some areas were a little confusing at times. Kept having to go back to re-edit. Overall good.
