Has Become Horrible and Way Overpriced

Clipped, abreviated, and poor instructions. Help & search system kept giving wrong answers. And I paid as much for Turbo Tax as a local accountant would charge. Having been a customer for 18 years, I am now done with Turbo Tax.

State return prep costs $$ this year!!

I got all the way through the federal return only to find out you wanted another $45 to create the state return! Turbo Tax has never done this in the past and I will never use it again!!

Issues in 2018 and 2019

I had major issues trying to complete my returns last year for 2018 on my brand new Lenovo laptop. Last year, the application froze every time I tried to navigate to a new activity. It took me almost two weeks to file my returns because of this inconvenience. I had to terminate the application each time and open it back up (this included laptop reboots). My parents swear by TurboTax so I decided to give it another shot this year. I was disappointed once again, as the application simply closed every single time I tried to change activities. It was almost as if the program hid itself in the background, because I could always find it in Task Manager but it would just disappear from my screen. I tried rebooting my laptop several times and even tried using my work laptop (HP) and experienced the same issues. And yes, I did install the recommended updates when initially opening the application to begin the returns. I am very disappointed that I have experienced difficulties two years in a row and I personally do not think it is worth the cost of paying for both federal and state downloads.
