I have used TT for 15+ years

I find Turbo Tax very easy to use, even with some complicated inheritance issues, with only a couple of exceptions.
As I live out of the United States, I was required to file a report owning a foreign corporation. The only way I could do this with TT was to file and then file an amended return. Fortunately, this requirement has been remove, or I would still be filing amended returns, as TT had no way for me to do what was required.
The other exception concerns a stipend I receive from my last employer that is reported on a 1099 Misc. I do no work for this, but TT insists it is self-employment income. I agree that it is taxable, but have no idea if it is being taxed at the correct rate.

I like to process, nothing is overlooked.
I don't see the logic of $50 for a state return however. We don't even pay that amount for the federal return software. Consequently I do the state return myself each year.

Except for some troubles locating partially complete 1099 and not finding my 2018 taxes saved in my acct, the software is fabulous and intuitive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easier Than Self-Prepaired Forms

TurboTax is so much easier than preparing your own return. No need to go get the booklet, read the instructions and fill in the blocks by hand. Most entries are pre-filled using the last year information that is repetitive and easily modified, and e-filing. Definitely worth the price.
