Not the best year

I have use Turbotax for 15 plus years and this is the second worst year in my estimation. several aspects make it unfriendly. 1) Fork questions, i.e. this, that or that questions were frequently poorly worded. 2) Decisions were not coded in well, using schedule C or E for Royalties looped through several times and left me having to remove one of the two forms you system put in over an issue of $37.00. 3) I understand the need to make money but you ask too many times to upgrade. 4) Your system is unbelievably slow on initializing and updating. I question the need for the delays. 5) My state taxes were $14.00 (TN) and you could have discovered that before asking me to buy the previously free state return.

Getting Better, But Still Not There

Turbo Tax sure beats doing your taxes manually, and you avoid the high fees of a tax preparer. Still a bit quirky in places. Drop down boxes in the investment area are unnecessary for most users and take up extra time. Still, got my taxes done in 7 hours. When I did them manually many years ago, it often took 20-30 hours to do my taxes. So this is a distinct improvement.
