Turbo Tax Basic did the job

In the past, I have used the deluxe version, and this year I tried the basic version. It did the job for my simple tax return. I tried to do the state tax on my own, and it was a little harder to figure out. It might have been worth it to spend the money for the state return.

I have used turbotax for years and i love it. It's helpful and going step by step makes it worth while.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It seems that the 2019 version of TurboTax seemed to distance complexity in our preparation process. There might have been a little more expediency provided in this year's system (?).

BUGGY SOFTWARE

Software easy to use but buggy. Tried to send my forms and got a message that an update was available. My software was up to date. This was later fixed with a new update. Now I tried to file my state taxes, same issue. I think next year I will get my software elsewhere.
