A Once Easy Task Made Frustrating

Time was, when we were working, TurboTax was great at handling what was then several complicated tax-related issues. Now we're retired and things are simpler, plus we no longer have to itemize under the new tax law. But TurboTax has gotten nicky-picky. Too many irrelevant questions, forms, challenges, this, that... I went bonkers trying to fill out the medical deduction information, because without notifying me, my entries were entered on a sub-form that took me an hour to find. Then it wouldn't file my return because it needed a ZIP code for a W-2 form. What W-2 form? Read above! We're retired!!! We don't get any W-2 forms!!!. I finally just entered my own ZIP code. Anyway, pay attention to your customers status and cut out or provide a short cut around all the petty garbage.
