Desktop version is very confusing

Turbo Tax desktop is very confusing. It doesn't import any information from previous years automatically. It keeps giving errors when purchasing state returns. Will never use again.

Could be SOOO Much Better!

Too "dumbed down" (ie to simplified, sometimes loosing the meaning of what the IRS is asking). Also when you go back to make a change, Turbotax makes you answer all the questions.
What's great about it: good hand off from previous year

turbotax is too expensive!!!

The additional cost for the one state was extreme. I will no longer use turbotax for state returns!
What's great about it: good intuitive program
What's not so great: I was charged over $40 extra for one state and it did not include the e-file for the state. They wanted add. $20 for it.

Iv used TurboTax for years (always helpful,thankfully)...The pnon-state age where you ask "how did you pay for it" was confusing---I bought the disc at a retailer---once on the page I couldn't get off it without calling the "help desk"...Those of us in a non-state income state should just be told to skip it.....Thanks for your help!

I have been using Turbotax for the past decade and it always gave me the best results - I checked it against other programs.

What's not so great: Some questions obviously do not apply.
