We never want to make things confusing for our customers, especially not for a loyal customer such as yourself.
At this time, our desktop products do not pick up information from the previous year's filing on its own. There is a process to transfer your data and you can learn more about it here: https://intuit.me/2V79gGu.
You may also want to consider using our online TurboTax software as this has the capability to retain the information you've input from one year to the next. For more information on the differences between our online and desktop products please go here: https://intuit.me/3aakJsQ.
We offer many variations of our software and we want you to have the one best suited for your needs.

I wish I hadn't procrastinated for so long. In just a few hours, I completed 3 years worth of returns, and my blood pressure wasn't through the roof! The last "tax professional" I went to ended up costing me $1000.00 in grossly mishandled tax returns.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Program was easy to install and use. Minutes from start to finish. I just wish that the Basic version wasn't so hard to find in local stores. They try very hard to upsell versions that may not be needed.

With last year's tax changes, it would have been difficult to keep abreast of the latest rules. Plus the added convenience of all calculations performed accurately.
