Bluetooth keeps dropping

Excited to get these but can't use them since the signal keeps dropping in and out every other second while at the gym. Whether my phone is in my pocket or out on bench it's always within a foot. Very disappointed and frustrating

JBL Reflect Flow is a Bluetooth headphone that's compatible with phones, tablets, and laptops. The wireless connectivity of our headphones can go from 10-15 meters. Bluetooth can also be heavily influenced by the surrounding environment. Please try these tips to make the most out of your device. 1.) Always have a clear line of sight between your headphone and device. Be aware of obstacles in front of your devices. 2.) Try to shutdown products that have Bluetooth, and aren't are being used. They are often the reason for interference. 3.) Do not stand too close to your Wi-Fi router since its signal is stronger, and it may overlap the connection. 4.) Concrete and brick walls will often interrupt the signal. As they cannot pass through such thick walls. 5.) Bluetooth signals cannot travel through water, which includes the human body. 6.) Open spaces such as parks can also cause interruption because the signal can't reflect from the objects around you.

I bought two pair; one for myself and one for my husband. We are both pretty pleased. After a lot of research, I chose to go with these ear buds over the AirPod pros. They work better for the ways in which we will use them. Sound quality is great. Features like Ambient Aware are great. Battery life is awesome. My only complaint would be that they are a little bit uncomfortable in the ear, but it’s something I can live with. I like that they stay put even with a lot of body movement.

UPDATED REVIEW!!!
on February 4, 2020

*For my initial review see "Stays in Place" by Workout Junkie roughly 3 months before this post. Everything I mentioned then still applies. The headphones themselves are awesome. I still love the fit and I rarely ever have to adjust them during a workout. Sound quality is still great... The reason for the update is the charging issues I've been having. I was hoping to have something straight forward in charging... finish workout ,drop them in the case and drop the case in the gym bag but that has not been my experience. I don't know if I have a faulty case or what but I have to turn off the headphones, turn off bluetooth on my phone, take off the ear tips and the "wings" then gently set the headphones in the case on a table where no one can so much as bump it otherwise I have to remove the headphone and reset them gingerly in the case so that they will restart changing. Its super inconvenient and frustrating. The case holds a charge fine and it seems like the magnets that hold the headphones in are working fine but for whatever reason I just can't them to continuously charge without babysitting them. If the earphones themselves weren't so good, didn't fit my ears so well, and didn't have a good battery life I would have given up on them a long time ago but I love the headphones so I'm willing to put up with the ridiculous charging situation. *I work out 5-6 time a week for 1-1.5 hrs per session and generally only have to go through the charging set up once a week.

Several defects in this design - very poor!

This sucks. These were the best earbud i ever had... For about 4 days. Serious design flaws emerged and now only one earbud works, after 1 week of use. #1 There is no app to keep you in control of each bud. One is charging and maybe one is not. No way to really know. #2. The Left earbud is notorious for no audio. my left earbud it totally silent. all controls operate perfectly. If i hit a single tap, the right audio mutes/ if I tap twice, the song advances. When i power on, i hear a beep on the right side. The left audio is totally silent all the time! This is not a power issue and not reversible with a re-pairing of the earbuds!! I am crushed, because these earbuds are seriously excellent! why cant you just go the short distance to make sure these stupid things dont become issues! Really? i paid to much for these to be this poorly executed! A direct independent usb plug per- earbud is needed, or an APP. each earbud needs to be queryable! I have no idea what is really even going on!

We appreciate your feedback. The right earbud of our JBL Reflect Flow is the main/ primary bud that receives Bluetooth signals from a source device causing you to hear a beep when powering on the headphones. To manually sync the right bud with the left bud, triple-click the JBL button on both buds. For more details, check out Manual Controls section on its Quick Start Guide here: https://bit.ly/2Ozycm7

Amazing!!

I have had these for a couple weeks. I absolutely love the sound of them! I haven’t used them enough to see how long the battery lasts but I’m sure it’s good considering my new Flip 5 speaker lasts forever! lol. They are very easy to use. Don’t know why some people have a hard time using them. I like the ambiance noise thing. That’s cool. The only issue is with comfort. It has nothing to do with the headphones. My right ear fits amazing while my left ear I had to find the right size pieces to use. They give you several silicone sizes for them to fit. I had to do a totally different setup in my left ear then I did my right but it ended up working out. If I didn’t have the ear piece options I would have had to send them back and I really didn’t want to because they are so good!! I had the wireless Bose earbuds and these are cheaper, have more features and sound better! Awesome wireless earbuds!!

All rounder with some connectivity issues

The bluetooth connection experiences some interruptions during use. It could do with an App so that you could update firmware, control additional features etcetera like most wireless earbuds in this price range.
