Good, Basic Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this oven for about two months and am very happy with its performance. It works well and haven’t had any issues. Two tiny things that are annoying are: the back of the oven draw is very low so things fall back when I pull the drawer out if I have it stacked up more than a bit, and when the timer goes off, it sometimes only beeps one or two times before shutting itself off instead of continuing to alarm until I can get to it. Other than that, it is a great, basic oven.

I boil water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't cook, but I do boil water pretty well and this range does that for me. I bought it about two weeks ago because it was the least expensive flat top in stock at our local appliance dealer. If I did more than boil water, I would have looked for an energy star rated range. It does boil not water as fast as my old, old (dead) Kenmore used to, but it's good enough for me. It will bring about 6 cups of 80 degree tap water to a rolling boil in about 12 minutes on the 6 inch, 1,200 watt back burner. However, as the pot boils, the steam condenses on the burner controls and I'm concerned the condensate will corrode the inside of the controls over time.
As far as the construction goes, it just feels cheap to me, and your friends will not be impressed with the style. It just looks like a range with a flat top. Nothing more, nothing less. I do not expect it to last for a long time, but I hope that I'm wrong about that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have some new pots and pans, that I’ve used previously on a non electric top, and now they have a scorched bottom. This electric top really cuts back on the burning, and helps cook the food evenly throughout. I love the timer, so no more guessing how long the food has been in the oven or on the top.

I SPENT DAYS TRYING TO GTE HELP THE GLASS TOP OF STOVE IS CRACKED BEEN HERE TWO MONTHS I HAV ENO STOVE AND HOIDAYS ARE COMING.I BOUGHT A HOUSE THAT BUILDER SOLD THEY DID A FLIP NEVER LIVED IN HOME APPLIANCES WERE UNTOUCHED WHEN I TRIED TO GET HELP WAS ASKKED FOR THE ORDER NUMBER ,I DO NOY HAVE THAT ,I ALSO HAVE A DISHWASHER DOES NOT WASH DISHES TRIED IT ONCE I BEG FOR SOME ONE TO REMOVED DAMAGED ITEMS AND REPLACE WITH WORKING APPLIANCED FRIDGE OK WASHER/DRYER OK FRIGE OK NOW WATER ON DID NOT MAKE ICE AT FIRST THEN FOUND OUT NOT TURNED ON/ASKING FOR HELP PLEASE WIDOW LADY ALONE I HAV ENO PICTURES DAMAGE WAS DONE TIME IT WAS INSTALLED .
