[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 20 year old range with this new one. It is so painfully obvious that this new range will never reach the ripe old age of 20. The quality of construction and materials used are so far below the old one, it is simply sad and heartbreaking. We purchased because it was made in America. Whirlpool has been manufacturing kitchen appliances for many many years, and it is obvious that quality has given way to cost containment and planned obsolescence. Like so many other industries they are no longer in the "appliance business", they are in the profit business. Sad day in America.

Disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to purchase all Whirlpool appliances when building our new home. I am sad to say there are a couple of things about this range that I am with which I am disappointed. I was not aware that the burners cycle on and off while cooking. I do not like that this causes it to take longer to cook foods. However, the most disappointing feature Is the drawer on the bottom. #1 it is much smaller than my previous range, and #2 the edges inside the top where you pull the drawer out are very sharp! It would be so easy to cut your fingers if you aren’t very careful when opening the drawer. Aslo, this bottom drawer does not roll out and in smoothly. Based on these two things, I would not buy this range again. I regret I could not give a better review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased all new Whirpool appliances aprox.1 month ago and while the Frig., Dishwasher, and Microwave range hood are very nice however the Range is something else entirely; the oven makes a squeaking noise while preheating and while cooking as well as another noise and the tech that was sent out said they all do that.Well we are in our 60s and have had many ranges and everyone we spoke to recently said they have never had that or even heard of such a thing. So DO NOT purchase this range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About a year or so ago, my Whirlpool range's control panel died and the repair would have cost as much as replacement. I bought a similar GE model which came highly-rated in its reviews. It ended up being so bad that I merely tolerated it since I could not return it. I had to put the GE to rest (while still under manufacturer warrantee) when the cook surface chipped and neither the manufacturer's warrantee nor the purchased 5-yr service plan covered the replacement thereof.
All I can really say is that I wish I had invested the $$ a year or so ago when the control panel of my previous Whirlpool range died. Even returning to Whirlpool has been disappointing.
1) I DO NOT LIKE the "simplified" control panel and display. It pretends to be intuitive, but it's not. It has been dumbed down so that it does little more than meet my needs. I can see time, timer, OR temperature. My old Whirlpool lived in the "land of AND" where the display provided all that information at a single glance.
2) My previous Whirlpool had hot surface indicators on the cook surface itself, with a light for each burner so I could see which burner was hot. Now I have a single "hot surface" message on the panel display with zero specificity.
3) My previous Whirlpool had an indicator light above each burner's knob to indicate it was on. This one has a single "cooktop on" message in the display, again with zero specificity as to which one. Many times I am looking at the range from a different room and the old indicator bulbs were more informative and visible.
4) My previous Whirlpool had a rack in the oven that included a removable portion which could be moved over to accommodate taller items like roasters. The new range requires I remove the entire rack to make space.
That being said,
I do like sleek appearance and the ease of cleaning the cook surface, and a microfiber cloth is all I need to bring up the shine after my cooking messes are removed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a good oven, nice quality. I just don’t like that it take a while for the oven to preheat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased my electric range few months ago. Easter dinner boiled over mashed potatos with butter, sour cream.. truly a mess everything stuck to the glass-top range. waited for it to cool, used a glass-top cleaner cleaned up like brand new not a mark on it!
Thank You Whirlpool for making a superior product! 5-Stars

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately I’m disappointed with my stove. I’ve had whirlpool most of my adult life and been happy, that’s why I bought again. First off, buzzers are WAY to soft. I’ve ruined oven things because can I heat timer buzzer even when in th kitchen. Also the oven has very thin steel and oven drawer is small, hard to open and close. Over all cheaply made! Stuck with it! Also previous oven was 22 years old and believe me this one probably won’t last 5 years! Also, hate solid black cream top, and burners are still way to hot after the warning lite goes off!
