I've had this range for 3 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used it twice and now I'm waiting for the 2nd computer board to be replaced. It took 5 weeks to get the 1st computer board.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The range is a replacement to my 18 year old GE electric range. Of the pros, the oven does heat up faster and I don't hear the click click of the relays as my old GE oven did. I also like the digital display of the oven temp as it heats up so I know how long I have until it reaches the desired temp. The stove top is slick, I like the dual burner and the melt option, very nice. On the con side: 1) The oven, while it heats up and when it reaches the desired temp, the stove top gets very warm, the countertop on each side the oven also gets warn as well as the cabinets. This is new to me as my old GE oven never did this, it was very well insulated. And when I tested the clean option, I couldn't even touch the countertop as it was too hot. The inner cabinets also too hot. This concerns me alot. I don't know if I will ever use this feature. The manual says to remove stuff from the bottom drawer and cabinets, but it doesn't matter if the countertop and cabinets still get very hot. I don't think this oven is very well insulated. 2) The bottom drawer is cheaply made with very thin metal. The edges are not rounded and very sharp, I cut myself the first time I opened it while placing some pans in it. I will try and find some rubber molding to place around these edges. 3) When the oven reaches the desired temp, it displays that temp, so I cannot change it to the clock. I press the clock button, it displays for a few seconds, but then goes back to the temp. I wish this was an option to change between temp and clock.

Builder Installed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a brand new house, we closed on 11/21. We installed backsplash tile and to do so we pulled the range out to work behind it and there’s a big gash/dent in the side of the range and it looks like it’s affected part of the electrical and probably why the oven light won’t come on and gives a funny beep when trying to turn it on. We have a warranty claim pending as the builder referred us to Whirlpool. I am concerned to even use the range. Warranty appt is 12/21. Thank you Whirlpool for setting up the appt so quickly although it’s still a week away.

Purchase with the house on 10/30/2000 and on 12/23/2022 the “Oven will turn on but will take a very long time to heat up”. It would take about ten minutes to reach 120 degrees. Also the “Oven Light” would not turn off, I had to remove the bulb.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smooth cooking

My only concern is that when I use the stove top it has a crackle/popping sound. I'm hoping it's because it's new. I'll try it out again to see if it stops (that's the only reason for the 4 star).

Terrible User Manual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought a new home and the builder put this oven in. The instructions that came with it are terrible and does not help with operating the oven. I even downloaded a user guide for this oven and still no help.
