[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I love this range! I haven’t use the self cleaning function yet since I have only been in my new place a month and a half but everything else about it is amazing! It cooks evenly. It’s easy to clean and it looks sharp.

Great Basic Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for specific things when I bought this oven. First, I wanted an oven with the self-clean feature. Not to use (because it can often screw up or break your oven) but because it would have better insulation. The other feature was an exposed bake element on the bottom. I learned to bake with that and so I didn't want to switch to a hidden bake element or convection and have to adjust all of my baking. I've come to the realization that the most important thing when buying an appliance is to understand the exact features you want and need, instead of some feature you haven't used before but just want to try. With those factors in mind I chose this oven and I'm happy with my choice. I find it runs just a bit hotter than my previous oven but I adjusted it down by 5 degrees and it now matches my oven thermometer.
Now for the drawbacks: yes, the top shows every bit of dust or smudges. I'm making a conscious effort to keep it clean. After cooking on it I'll spray it down with vinegar or Weiman daily spray. I've used the heavy duty polish only once so far when I first got it but I've got a little bottle as a backup. I will say I put more effort into keeping this one clean than my previous oven but it's worth an extra 5 minutes each night to do my best to keep it clean. The only other drawback is that the top front edge of the oven gets very hot (right above the handle) when I cook for 30 minutes or longer. Not enough to burn, but it's quite uncomfortable. I'm not sure why it's in that exact spot because the rest of the cooktop keeps quite cool, but it is one thing I notice.
This oven won't win any progressive features awards and that's not what I wanted it for. I wanted a basic oven that I can bake in and cook at home with and that's what I got and I'm happy with my choice!
